My name is Brittany Silla and I am a free lance hair stylist. I have been in the industry for almost 7 years, and experienced working in another salon downtown Toronto prior to where I am at now. 

 

Growing up, I did competitive Irish Dancing for 12 years. For competitions, our makeup had to be very intense and theatrical along with our hair. This is when I started to be immersed in the beauty industry. 

 

Originally, my plan was to go to University and become a lawyer. History and English were my two best subjects in school and I loved all of the characteristics that a law profession had to offer. However, hair had always been my true passion. 

 

I decided to pursure a career in hair styling while I was in high school. Despite what others said, I knew I could be successful and make something of myself as a hair stylist. I have worked for Marilyn Denis on her television show doing hair makeovers, as well as worked for numerous seasons backstage at Toronto Fashion Week.
